What is CNC turning？
CNC turning is a cumbersome manufacturing process that manufactures turned parts by rotating the rod material against a cutting tool. It is usually used for functional prototypes and end-uses with axial and radial holes, flats, grooves and slots. Components. In addition to customized CNC milling and turning services, we also provide complete surface finishing options for precision machined parts.
Anodizing can improve corrosion resistance, enhance wear resistance and hardness, and protect metal surfaces. Widely used in mechanical parts, airplanes, auto parts, precision instruments, etc.
Sandblasting will make the surface of the part smooth and rough texture. Mainly used for vision applications, then other surface treatments can be performed.
The powder coating forms a durable, wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant layer on the surface of the part. Powder coatings can be used to apply color to parts and are compatible with any metal.
Electroplating can be functional, decorative or corrosion related. Many industries use this process, including the automotive industry, where chrome plating of automotive steel parts is common.
Polishing is the process of creating a smooth and shiny surface through physical friction or chemical interference of parts. The surface produced by this process has obvious specular reflection, but diffuse reflection can be reduced in some materials.
Brushing is a surface treatment process in which, usually for aesthetic purposes, an abrasive belt is used to draw marks on the surface of the material. Most commonly used in aluminum.
Painting the surface of parts can improve their aesthetic appearance and can provide consumers with brand awareness. In addition, painting may have a protective effect on the parts.

CNC turning design recommendations
Due to the processing characteristics, the design criteria for CNC turning and CNC milling processes are slightly different. Following these recommendations can greatly improve production efficiency and reduce costs. Learn more about the CNC design guide.
Recommended: 0.8mm (metal), 1.5mm (plastic)
The smaller the wall thickness, the smaller the stiffness of the material. This can cause vibration during machining and reduce accuracy. We recommend that you use a larger minimum wall thickness for plastics.
Recommended diameter: Standard drill size
Recommended depth: 4-40 times the nominal diameter
The tool used for drilling is a drill or an end mill. For high-precision holes smaller than ⌀20mm, standard diameters are recommended.
Recommended size: Above M6
Suggested length:3 times the nominal diameter
Threads are divided into internal threads and external threads. The internal thread is cut with a tap, while the external thread is cut with a die. Taps and dies can be used to cut threads to M2. CNC threaded tools are common and are therefore preferred because they limit the risk of tap breakage.
